Default Husband Spilled Drink Everywhere... Now Radio Not Working!

My husband spilled a full soda and my radio will not work. The ac/heater compartment also quit working and the lights were staying on (although the car was turned off). This morning the heat/ac compartment is working normally but the radio won't work. Do you think he fried something?

He said he'll just have a new radio installed... this one... Clarion NX501 navigation receiver. Can anyone tell me anything about it? Or the best Double Din receiver for my A4.

Default May want to post in the electronics forums too.

Not exactly sure, but when I was looking for a new radio (nonAudi) I believe there were some compatibility issues with the computer and the speakers that needed to be addressed. I just remember non-Bose was easier to swap out. Just something to look out for.

u can buy radio keys and pull out the radio. There is a fuse on the back that might have blown. An other option u can try is if u have your radio safe code (should be in the manual) then u can uplug ur battery for 10 minutes replug it back in and it might reset the radio. For a new radio aftermarket you will have to get a new harness i believe.

So turns out the radio is on, but not working. I know that doesn't make sense. All the lights are off, there is no sound, other then hissing. I think he really screwed it up. The cup holder won't pop out anymore. There is coke in the lighter. Coke on the ceiling, windsheild, down in both panels on the doors. It's bad.

Just had a new shifter assembly put in and now that's sticky. UGH!!!!

I know he's your husband and all, but I'd ban him from my car.

You need a pair of these to pull the radio out.

You may be able to let it dry or clean it out and make it start working again.

It makes that "white noise" sound when the car is in park. It's been doing it since this happened. It's like it's on, but with no lights and no words. Just sound Weird.

I have always heard clicking noises after I turn the car of, but I assumed that was part of the heating/cooling compartment.
