missunderstanding I think, you said you are ordering the oettinger kit, and then you will have to put your plate on it which will really suck. I run with out a front plate on mine and I havent been pulled over yet in MO, and its illegal here to. I have a bike(07BMWF800S), and if I had to put a plate on the front of it, I dont know what I would do...

Hey if you still don't like the look of the LP try getting a tinted cover for it. I put some on mine (front and back) and on my Black A4 it really helps with the look and lines of the car. IMO the tint takes some of the visual edge off the tin plates.

its not illegal if you put the clear plastic cover on your license plate, but the tinted cover are. However, I've got the tinted cover on for quite a while now and cops in LA havent said anything. Still, I dont like the idea of having a plate on at all. From what I've heard, if your bumper does not have any holes on your bumper or has no way to mount the license plate bracket, then it would be considered "legal". Most of the Lexus's have no holes for the mounting bracket, and they drive around without plates all the time and never get pulled over. Even if I get the Oettinger body kit, I dont have to drill holes and drive around with a plate.

yea ive considered throwing a tinted plate on my car. I hv LED in my licesne bulbs so there bright as hell i dont think the cops will mind as long as u can still see the plate visibly at night.

i dont think tinted plate covers are so much of an issue with the cops seeing it clearly as it is for traffic cameras being able to get a clear pic? or at least its that way in NY

isnt that the goal of the LP covers, to create a glare when the traffic cameras use their flash?

if not, idk why you'd be so **** about keeping your LP that protected
