ok so lets say...... what would it take to kill a built EVO.
my goal is to be able to race almost any random EVO on the street and WIN. Money really isnt an issue so I just need ideas. this is one of my many goals for my car

I can think of Dave, AMS, but not the third off the top of my head. Dont forget the ones that run on E85 also, thats basically race gas. A 12sec A4 is a much more reasonable goal. It can be done w/o a huge turbo and on the stock engine. Have to spend alot and give up alot to make a fat pig run 11's or lower.

Dave, AMS and ETS/Paul. Paul should get into the 8's he just dyno'ed at 1081whp and going for 1100. but dyno numbers dont mean much we will have to wait tell he hits the track. also there is a new guy from texas who just sent his car to ams for a 8 second car.

Well it doesnt hurt when the are all running 2.2-2.3L motors and all can run to over 9k rpms. There are a couple VW guys going with small T4's and solid lifter heads. THey should make some nice numbers all while breaking new ground for the transverse people.
If people would really build the motor to spin to 9k, a gt35r wouldnt seem like such a large turbo anymore. But when you get a .63 to hit 20+psi by 4700 and only go to 8k, you lose a lot of powerband.

ya the new thing is keep it a 2.0l and rev the hell out of them. the 1.8 is a great motor but there just are not enough shops willing to throw 100k at the motor and see what it can really do. im sure that if/when someone does the 1.8 will make some huge power and go very fast. the other thing is hte audi is heavy

Ed@ http://www.forcefedengineering.com/has made 675whp on a T3/67 dbb turbo and is one of the guys looking to move to a t4 with a larger compressor housing. His shop is booming and he is a school teacher during the day so his car is getting pushed back. He also ran a 10.6 with a basically a full weight car (under 100lbs removed).
Glad others are catching on to why hondas make so much power. With a 9k rev limit and great flowing head, power comes much easier. Just get the parts to make it reliable and you are in for a 600whp teritory easy. To bad everyone and their mom has one. Think i will stick with the TT. Should be able to get the TT down in the 2600lb range and with goals of 450whp on pump, it should more than move.
