Ok, so last night I installed a new Bailey DV. I leave the bi***** about the hose clamps for another time. Anyway, today I blew a hose off the bottom of the turbo (not cool) So I re-attached it and tightened any other hoses I could easily see/reach. But now my car idles f*****! It starts, but then will constantly bounce between 600 and 900 RPM. I called AWE and they said my hoses were probably old and couldn't handle the pressure, or that they had split. The car ran like a champ yesterday!! What else could this be? I've been searching the forums, but have't found too much except that I should perform a leak test...Anyone have anyother suggestions?? Oh and I'm not getting any CEL's, so no codes.

 

I have to agree with AWE. The bouncing is the engine stumbling due to rich conditions. The fuel is the same but the air is not. You need to go and inspect all the hoses and connections.

Sorry one more question. AWE said that the vaccum hose to the DV would not cause thi problem. Isn't that part of the whole system though?

 

The car would still idle with the dv closed. But like said before, it would be a boost hose problem, not vac problem
