Default HID Kit

Looking into getting a hid kit for my audi a4 2003 and iv been reading on other peoples posts that some hid kits can cause electrical problems in audis? im not sure how some would do that over another i wasnt quite sure but i also read if there not angled properly they can be blinding and i know cars that already have hid in them have auto levelers and i was curious as to if all kits have this or if thats something different, i want to get a nice hid kit but i dont want to spend to much but at the same time i dont want to get a shitty one that will break, i was thinking 6k. thanks.

I have 6k fogs and low beams from vvme and they have been nothing but awesome. Another good brand is DDM tuning. They are both in the same price range ~$50. Some people go slim balast, but i have the regular sized ballasts and there was plenty of room to mount mine. So check out those two brands.

slim ballast ddm still fires up fine. either or both products acheive the same results with a very reasonable price.

i took a look at those ddm tuning hid kits and there a great price, im thinking of ordering the hid slim ballast kit, it has a option for 35w or 55w, does that depend on your car or are the 55w just a little bit brighter

actually just read a little further into the page and it explains the difference between 35w and 55w id probably go for the 35w it says that some modern cars need a harness?

no harness needed plug and play. only differnece in the 35 to 55 is u loose a little color output with the higer wattage. the 55 watt 6000 looks closer to 4500. but in the 35 it has more of a blueish color.

Ours don't need a harness. 55w is brighter than the 35w. Honestly, I don't want to blind people and be that a-hole who has the headlights that are too bright, so i stuck with 35w and they are still a major upgrade over stock.

Did you have any problems with the warning system indicating a light out?
