Hey all,

So, I'm new to the audi world, came over from BMW and still feeling my way around this new V6 thing (RIP I6's of my past). Anyways, this line is leaking all over my passenger side valve cover and it needs fixing! So, my question is simply this...What is it...and where can i get a new one? Thanks for any help in advance.
Also, I am referring to the left most line running vertical in the picture directly over the top of the valve cover.

u sure thats not the valve cover gasket leaking? It looks like oil runs along the whole seal?

100% positive, that was my initial thought...so much so that I replaced both of them because I was so sure...then today, I caught it dripping with my own eyes! And if I press on the rubber housing around that line it squishes out liquid on the ends. So I was with you on the gasket... unfortunately it wasn't that.

Bueller...Bueller...? I checked again, just to make sure it wasn't the valve cover gasket and it appears to not be...le sigh. Mystery part pushes on.

get a couple screw type hose clamps, and wrap em around both ends and tighten em up pretty snug, see if that helps anything. also, what model car and engine do you have? might help figure things out a little easier

absolutely, I updated my garage with that basic info on my car just incase too. Well it's a 2003 a4 quattro, with the 3.0L V6...and a myriad of issues. Also, good call man on the hose clamps, if anything that will certainly help temporarily from dirtying up my valve cover! Thanks for the help. Still have no idea what exactly it is! I'm gonna go check again and see if I can deduce it better myself, is it the combi (Kombi?) line? My intense amounts of less than fruitful research led me to that educated guess, but I don't even know what that is either. I get lots of hits for kombi valve, but nothing else really.

Update: I think it is a high pressure line for the power steering pump? Is that what this little guy is? That is the line in question coming in from the left...

Confirmed...power steering pump seems to be leaking, and power steering line itself. bummer, those are expensive. Thanks for all the help gents.

i think iirc that if u power steering is leaking u can replace the hose clamps and alot of times that solves the problem. If u search on google i would imagine the article might pop up.
