HELP!!! Split fuel pipe to fuel filter.
Hi
Need some help. I drive a A4 1.8T 54 plate and recently I've noticed the smell of petrol when driving and getting out of my audi, but couldn't pin point the cause. Just today I noticed petrol spilling onto my driveway just infront of the rear drivers side wheel.
Discovered that one of the fuel pipes feeding to the fuel filter had spilt. My mechanic advised I speak to audi as he showed me that the pipe was touching the body work in the area that the split was found. Said that both pipes leading to the fuel filter were positioned side by side and touching the bodywork instead of one on top of the other. He thinks its a manufacturers fault.
Has anyone else had this problem???
