Default Help!! HID

Hello everyone

I have some I'm sure simple questions, but i need to make sure i get the right and best thing possible

So i have been looking non stop for HID kit for my 03 a4 sedan 1.8t

i want headlights that are HID and preferable get some fog lights that are HID
i have been mostly looking on ebay because they have a ton of stuff

You should know that i have no idea if my car has factory HID, let me explain, when i turn the car on, the headlights are this really bright beautiful blue, and then i stat driving and it seems once they worm up they look like normal headlights. Is this a problem? does it mean i have HID from the factory?

can someone please help me with this

1. i want the best White(non dark blue, maybe little blue) HID kit for my headlights. Keep in mind, and i don't know if it matters but i want to upgrade the actually headlights to have the new audi Daylight running light built in.

2. what is the best HID kit for the fog lights, i have seen them on there but don't know anything about them

3. is it really hard to wire? i have good skills as far as building things, I'm good with my hands.

Please if you could post some links to the products that you think are best i would greatly appreciate it.

Here is a picture of my current car.

Hey before you start doing anything please do not use ebay to buy your HID kit please do not only if the HID kit is over 150 dollars. All of the cheap 50 60 bucks hid conversion kits are no good news. here is a website where you can kind of see what you need foglights with high and low beam lights. and if you want the light to be white and very light blue I recommend you look for HID with 8000k light power that is the most clear ones.

AUDI A4 QUATTRO 2003 HID Kit - AUDI 2003 A4 QUATTRO Xenon Lights

As far as for installing it is very easy. All you need to do is just take your OEM lights out find a nice spot where you can stick your ballast for the HID and then just put in the light bulbs and that is it. Very Simple

Headlights you can actually fins some really nice ones on ebay for about $240 with free shipping that have the new audi a4 look with the LED light stripes. I will put you two links to see the two different types so you can pick whatever you like better.

BLACK DRL DAYTIME LED PROJECTOR HEADLIGHTS HEADLAMPS PARKING 02-05 AUDI A4 S4 B6 | eBay

02-05 AUDI A4 B6 BLACK ECODE EURO PROJECTOR HEADLIGHTS - D1S HOUSING | eBay

02 03 04 05 AUDI A4 S4 HALO LED PROJECTOR HEADLIGHTS | eBay

If you have any question feel free to send me a PM.

hopefully I helped good luck

thaNK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE HELP

i actually have one more question,

does it matter if i have facotry HID??? i have no idea on how to check, the only thing is when i turn the car on the lights are blue and with time they turn white(normal looking lights)

Does this imapact me at all???
also i think with choosing the actual headlight it does matter because it says that they are factory halogen only

so does this mean once i get aftermarket HID kit i cant use any of these headlights????

please respond fast i need to make this purchase over this weekend

http://ddmtuning.com/ Cheaper and carries lifetime warranty.
Easiest way to see if your headlights are hid is when you turn them on do the slowly get brighter. If not then u are running halegon. As for the capsules. you can put a aftermarket hid kit in their just make sure u aim it properly so you dont blind oncoming drivers. I actually have mine set a bit lower just to avoid flashers. other then that installing the kit is simply plug and play. Mounting the ballast will take effort and imagination. If you get a slimballast kit the ballast should fit under the head light. Feel free to ask more questions and we can get you pointed in the right direction.

If the headlights take a couple seconds to go from dim to bright when you first turn them on, they are HID. If they instantly come on full, they are incandescent. I cannot explain the color change.

i put hid kits on my headlights a while ago however when i turn them on they turn on BRIGHT then dim down and brighten up like there suppose too. is it because of the voltage and no relay harness?
