It won't leave customs in cali if it isn't legal, they do the same thing to skylines. There is a company in san francisco that modifies them to legal statis, but that costs some good moolah on top. Its probably gonna cost you another grand to have it shipped to boston as well. I wouldn't know which company would be good to have it shipped across the country, but there are a bunch of good ones.

Given that the Supra was sold in the US, I'm somewhat confused as to why you're trying to import one rather than just buy one that's already here. Is there some advantage to the JDM version?

Edit: Nevermind; I just did a search on used Supras unlimited miles from my zip code and found < 10 listed across the USA on carsoup. I guess they're a bit rare here. :P

That, and they can cost you upwards of 50 grand here in the US for a good one that hasn't been messed up. One of the only cars on earth that go up in value.

thats exactly why lol its like impossible to find one here and cheap too. in japan they have nice N/A's for less than 5K and very low miles so i want to ship one here. i cant find anyone that knows how much it would cost for it to pass admissions

Try Canada. Sometimes cars can be imported through there.

Here's a better idea. Get an fd shell and drop in a 2jz. Actually can't believe I just suggested that seeing as how I own an rx7 and am a rotary purist.

fd looks much better than the supra (IMO) and is a bit lighter.
