Default GT2X w/ Unitronics - boost issues

Vagged the car and had no codes - Also boost leak tested and held 20psi

*Symptoms* Car is very sluggish , boost doesn't shoot up , has a ton of lag...

NOTE: I'm only getting a max MAF reading of ~172 g/s near redline and the readings are VERY low up until ~4300 rpms - Same goes for the boost, I only have like 3-6 psi at 3300 rpms. The GT2X should have 20psi at 3300 rpms. Any ideas? Bad MAF ?

Check out my logs

Links aren't working for me, i would first check the mechanical side. Look at the wastegate lines, pull the intake line off and make sure the turbo is spinning freely etc.

Could be a bad MAF, have you tried cleaning it yet? Have you checked to see if the turbo is spinning correctly and there are no problems with the wategate lines?
What does your throttle position say when running these logs, and what is the percentage at idle?

I haven't cleaned the MAF, but I disconnected it and the car ran the same.

Turbo is brand new, I'm going to try to connect the wastegate line to the turbo outlet and run directly from the WG to see if the MBC is messed up.

Which Block is the Throttle Position ? I will log that next.

Throttle position is different from car to car, but its usually somewhere in the first 5 blocks. I want to see what the percentage is at idle, if its more than 0.2% that can cause some crazy crap.
Thats never good when you can unplug the MAF and nothing changes, definately clean that and see if that helps.

Have you checked to see if your SMIC is clogged causing a huge flow restriction?

Block 003 will show throttle position.

Odd thing is even your target AFR is way to lean.

From your log (time stamp corrected)
RPM ---- Spec --- Actual
3640 ----0.961 ---0.938
4360 ----0.953 ---0.938
5200 ----0.914 ---0.891
5920 ----0.821 ---0.828

.914 = 13.45:1 and actaul .891 = 13.09:1
Your AFR doesn't hit 12.0 till 5900 rpms. You should be hitting 12.0:1 or into the 11's by the time you hit full boost. If you look at your log, by the time you hit full boost your AFR readings are 0.961/0.938. That comes out to 14.1:1 target AFR and 13.78:1 actual AFR.

Your Injector duty readings are way too high too, they are basically maxed out and your not even making much power. So basically it looks like you have a fueling issue, without fuel your not going to make boost or power.

Your Injector readings from your log.
RPM ---- on time
3080---- 8.32
3280---- 10.92
3560---- 13.52
3880---- 17.68
4160---- 19.24
4520---- 21.32
4840---- 22.36
5120---- 21.32
5360---- 20.8
5640---- 20.28
5880---- 19.76

You might also want to start just logging 2 blocks at a time and in 3rd or 4th gear, you will get more info that way.
I have a few customers running the GTRS/GT2871r elim kits on their 2001+ cars, I can ask them if they have any logs of block 002/031. YOu might want to try and search for some or ask other Elim owners if they have any logs.

Thanks for the feedback guys - wonderr if my fuel pump is shot - I don't need a fuel pressure regulator for the tune and my 415cc injectors, right ?

B6 1.8t doesn't have a FPR you can change out.

I dont think it would be the fuel pump since the ECU target AFR is lean too. Now if your target AFR was rich and the actual AFR was lean, then it could be the pump. You should contact Unitronics and point out the fact about your AFR readings.

I logged block 003 and my Load % at idle is ~2 % ..... I know you said that anything over .2% can cause issues, any idea what would cause this ? Do I need to adjust my TPS ?
