Default Gas Pedal Sticking

On more than one occasion in the last few weeks the gas pedal on my car has been sticking, full throttle. This is quite inconvenient and rather scary during rush hour traffic (any traffic for that matter). It's not getting stuck on the floor mat, does anyone know what may be causing this issue?

When I get on the interbelt or a hwy with a faster speed limit I have to speed up. Rush hour does not always mean "bumper to bumper" traffic.

your throttle body may be dirty. im guessing your have a tiptronic. if you have a vag-com, you can try a throttle body adaption. but i would recommend cleaning it first. i would try to find the link on audizine but the site seems to be down right now. you can try to search on your own though. good luck

I would take it to the dealership and get the problem resolved asap. That is not something you want to play around with.

to look there, maybe you spilled something before so it is sticky, if not i would go ahead and have someone check that out.

Not sure if it will 100% fix the issue, but we'll see. I had a friend clean this out for me, it was dirty. I ran it a little hard afterwards, but it was kind of doing it when it wanted to, not at any specific time/speed/rpm/etc.

Thanks again, I always get great advice here.

To Ryan. : Yes, it is a tiptronic. Sorry for the confusion, I should have included that initially.
