The "average" has the Ø. Keep scrolling around on ur HUD. And as for your MPG you're not gonna change much. Shifting over 3500 rpms is driving kinda hard if u want good mpg's. Try before 2500.

yea what euro said or shift when ever ur rpm hit 2000 if you want to be fuel efficient.

First of all, you should (for the moment) ignore the guage for you mpg. Fill the tank and see how far you go until it nears emoty then fill it again and do the math....there's you true average mpg. If you want to get good gas mileage, it matters not so much how far up the rpm range you go until shifting as much as it does how hard on the gas you are to get to that rpm. Lightly accelerate to 3500-4000 then shift and you'll get good mileage. If you shift too low, all that does is lug your engine and you'll shorten its service life and not necessarily save that much fuel in the process.
