Default Fuel Light?

Does anyone have any idea what this light means or how to fix it? The tech at the dealership says he's never seen it before. It started coming on this past summer but only for a day or two and then it would turn it self off. It's now been on constantly for about the past month.

Any help would be greatly appreaciated.

That's your fuel door open, maybe the sensor ther broke, I know there's a plug there too to check but I've never done that myself. Fidle with ti to see if you get it to change.

Thanks for the info. I've found a couple other links for people experiencing the same problem:
http://www.go-audi.com/4772-flashing-gas-cap-light.html

http://www.justanswer.com/questions/...hecked-cap-its

Unfortunately it looks like it's going to involve dropping the fuel tank and possibly replacing a $160 sensor.

It could be ur cap isnt shut all the way tight or its loosing pressure.

No, that would give him a code.

Yeah I guess that would definitely be worth a try. I always screw it on until it clicks 2or 3 times so I don't think it's anything I'm doing wrong.
If replacing the cap doesn't work I wonder if there's a way to just bypass the sensor or somehow trick it with a magnet (assuming it's a magnetic sensor).

Thanks for everyone's suggestions, I really appreciate the advice.

No code at all, I've already taken it to the Audi dealership and they scanned it.
