Front Speaker Upgrade?
Now that I have my ipod hooked up, I'm looking to upgrade the speakers. I don't want to spend a ton and don't want to give up the trunk space for a sub (am I the only one who thinks the OEM "sub" is worthless)? Anyhow... I know I could go with 6.5" components, but I was wondering if 6x8" components would fit in the front doors? I thought I might get a little more bass that way.
Thanks for the help!

I think the only one that's using a Crossover is the Bose system, the regular should be full range, but I might be wrong. I just know that the Bose uses an amp that's on the back of the passenger side rear seat towards the sidewall.

stock subs is worthless if u wanna be heard. Crusing around it sounded not half bad. But once u throw some subs in and some mids u car will be blaring. scskim where do u ground ur amp mounted up there cuz ive been considering mounting my amp up there to get a bigger box in the car but i dont want to have a long ground wire that will lose power to the amp.

yea cuz when i first had my amp installed the guy who did it totally botched the job. The ground wire was first a 8 gauge wire pushing over 1000 watts. my amp would shut off constantly. I had to replace the ground and shortn it and man talk about a night and day difference. Nice sleek install though scskim. Ive always contemplated the fiberglass box but always been a bit wary.
