So I took my car to the dealership yesterday, and picked it up today. They told me the problem with my a/c is actually the fan control module. They said the a/c is creating too much pressure when I'm at a stop because the fans aren't pushing air through the condensor. The wanted to charge me $827.00 to replace it. I got a price of 211.00 for the part from the dealership, but I was trying to find anywhere else to compare that to. So far I haven't had any luck.

Do you guys know any sites that would have this? The part number is 8E0-959-501-AG

You can try www.germanpartsonline.com, www.ecstuning.com, www.purems.com and you can also try www.shokan.com for a used one. As long as the part numbers match its all good. When you change the module make sure you check the coding with the vag com and code the new unit when you install it. Not all A4's have programmable fan control modules so if it doesn't communicate it isn't a big deal.

Thanks for the reply, I had actually tried the first 3 already with no luck, but shokan gave me a good price.

As for the vag com, you wouldn't have any kind of write-up or anything on that would you? I've played with the vag com a lil bit but I'm still not all that knowlegable about it (bein honest here )
