Exhaust
#16
About $50 dollars and no I did not do it to the turbo intake pipe I did it to the TESTPIPE. Next time you run your car for awhile pop the hood and you can feel the intense heat coming off the turbo and cat. Usually the cat is just as hot as the turbo and contributes to intense, high ambient temperatures under the hood. My wrapped testpipe has drastically reduced the ambient air temps under the hood i.e the intake air and the tip are not subject to such extremely high temperatures. All this is moot however if you do not add a testpipe to your set-up although I'm sure you can wrap your cat although it will consume considerably more wrap and spray. I gave mine (TP and wrap) 5-6 HEAVY coats and consumed roughly half the can of spray. What I will say is that it does what it says it will do when you do the job correctly and thoroughly. Tightly (and I mean TIGHT!) wrap overlapping at least 1/4" all the way down, heavy and thorough coverage with the spray and you will have a setup that blows the doors off a custom heatsheild.
