Engine suddenly shuts off during driving, now dies seconds after restarting
#21
I replaced the camshaft position sensor today but the vehicle is still not starting...I can still hear the starter motor running but no attempt whatsoever to turn over. Am I correct in thinking that my starter motor must be bad now as well? As unlikely as it seems that the starter motor would just happen to go at the same time as all my other problems appeared it is the only thing I can think of that could be causing my current starting problem Anything else I should look into first? And if my next step will need to be removing the starter motor to get it re-built or replaced any tips on removing it?
Thanks!

Sorry that the cam position sensor didn't fix the problem. Before you replace anything else, I think you should do some googling and also visit the Audizine forum and search there. Frankly, this forum is a ghost town compared to Audizine. The B6 forum over there is very active.

I'll have to check out Audizine, and I suspect that the camshaft position sensor may have been the culprit to the initial problems but at this point it really seems as though the starter motor went at the same time as well. I already have the motor removed anyway so I'll have it looked at by our local auto electric shop on Monday. Thanks so much for all your help!
