you must use g12 coolant. it is pink... buy it from the dealer and mix it with water. 50/50 is the usual mix. also try to find out why your coolant is low in the first place. it's supposed to be a closed system so it being low could mean that you have a leak somewhere.

yea turn ur car on let it warm up open up ur hood and see if u see any smoke anywhere common places are the rear of the engine near the firewall and the front drivers side. Hopefully its just ur coolant low but when mine did that problems arrouse. I think they also have g12 in green and blue but were suppose to use the pink,.

Like everyone above stated, G12 is the standard that needs to be used, and should be pink in color. Can be found at teh dealer, online stores and sometimes NAPA auto parts... There is also G12+, which is purple in color that can be freely mixed with G12, which can only be found at the dealer.

question, my coolant poured out of my car today. not sure why, I got the temp light flashing as well, pulled her over immediately, and shut off the car. Popped the hood, and coolant was EVERYWHERE. Literally. Smoke was pouring out, and the temp sensor ( i think) was out of the housing. I'm not sure where the fluid is coming from, but I cant keep ANY in the res. Its bad. I have it at a shop right now, but i was just curious what you guys think. Sorry for thread jacking.
