Engine Coil Recall Help

Engine Coil Recall Help
So my story starts a year ago when I had my car towed to Stevens Creek Audi and I had to pay out of pocket for the servicing of new coils. Fast forward to today, and my coils are out again (so it seems symptoms are the same) and now I called Stevens Creek Audi and they say that I have to pay to get them changed because it has been a little over a year since they last changed the Coils. They say that they had already fixed them and now its my responsibility. I talked to Corporate and they say I should get reimbursed for my 1st incident.
I feel that they should fix the problem again, a defective product has broken AGAIN. Stevens Creek Audi said they wont do it for free, and the other, Livermore Audi, 30 miles away said to just bring it in and they will do it ( this is since I did not tell them that stevens creek fixed it last year). Again that is just a verbal agreement, who knows if they will say some thing different when I get there....
So my options are argue with the dealer close-by or drive 30 miles to a dealer that says they will fix it and just hope they do and they dont look up the fact it was fixed last year. (Then I can mail my reimbursement for last years servicing.)
Any ideas or knowledge or steps I can take would be helpful..... I am filling out the reimbursement form, but I need to collect proof of payment and repair from the dealer.
Thanks for your time....

What id suggest in doing is have corp send you the reimbursement for the first problem, take that money and go to ecs and get their Hitachi coil packs (set of 4 is i think 132) and just do them yourself it takes a max of 15 min.

oh and if you need proof of the first fix the Dealer HAS to keep all the records just get a copy from them!

That other dealer will look up to see if its been done. And they won't do it again for you. You will waste the trip.
You have to understand, The dealers are independent repair facilities with an Audi logo on. Like Mcdonald's and other franchise chains.
When something is warranty, the dealer pays the repair up front and Audi Of America re-emburses them for every warranty repair..... Parts and labor.
Now if Audi says they won't re-emburse the dealer for the second set of coils.... Theres nothing the dealer can do but shell out the money for the second sets, but its not the dealers fault the coils are faulty. They don't make the parts or have a say in who contracts the manufacturing.
So in this case i wouldn't be so hard on the dealer.... but i'd keep trying to stick it to corporate.
