I noticed something odd today on the dash of my ’04 A4, particularly where it states the KM left on the tank.

Whenever I completely fill the tank up, the dash always stated between 780 and 800 km. It has always been this way since I bought the car (have had it for 8 months now). I only put in gas when the tank is on E and the dash reads 10 km or lower, and fill it up completely. When I did that this morning, however, the dash read 640 km! I turned the car off and waited and restarted it, and still 640 km. During my lunch break, I tried again, and it read 630 km (I’m assuming from haven driven to work).

Any reason why it’s starting at 640 now, as opposed to 800 as it has always done?!
