Cylinder 2 misfire

Cylinder 2 misfire
Hi
When driving home from work the other day I noticed that the engine started to vibrate more than usual, and that I was lacking power. A bit later the engine light came on.
I suspected one of the coil packs where fucked, so i disconnected each one while the engine was running. Cylinder 2 didnt fire at all (no change in engine sound/revs), so I swapped over coilpacks to see if the fault moved, witch it didnīt. Then tried swapping spark plugs over, with the same result.
Tried disconnecting the fuel injector on cylinder 2, and noticed that the revs started going up and down (barely noticable), probably because of a small change in pressure in the fuel rail.
Ran VAG-COM on it, Random/Multiple Cylinder Misfire Detected, so no help there.
So, misfire cylinder 2
-Coil OK
-Spark plug OK
Anbody had similar problems?
I had it in the shop a couple of weeks ago, where they changed the timing belt and water pump. Also they had the top cover off to check the camshafts, and timing chain. Could this be related?
I will go out and buy a new spark plug today, and check if there is a spark or not from the coil on cylinder 2.
