Hello, I did a search but didn't come up with anything.

My car is having in issue with the coolant low senor. It comes in and out. I check the level of the coolant reserve tank it sometime even over fill it and after driving for awhile the error pops up again. There is no visible leak or coolant leak smell.


Any idea what could cause this, thank in advance for any help

Audi A4 2003 going on 150K miles (no timing belt, or up keeping task yet) with so far no major issues. Except the factory alarm when activated I only get blinking indicators but no more audible sound from the rear of the car.

Is the car running when you look at the coolant level? When mine was low it would pull the coolant in while running, and then fill the res back up when the car was off.

 

Have, I tried that. I also tried to pump out any air bubbles. Very Odd.

Thanks for the reply, All I can assume is that there is a sensor in the Res that is faulty, I have to look at the books to see if there is such sensor on the tank.
