Compatable brake upgrades for B6A4
I have been doing lots of searches online and have not gotten any definitive information on compatible brake upgrades from other Audi models.
I have seen the B5S4 upgrade, but when I go to look up loaded calipers and rotors from rockauto.com and autozone.com I see there are differences from year to year on the b5.
I also was wondering if B6S4 is a direct bolt on for the B6A4, the B6S4 rotors are an inch (25mm) larger than the B5's and the calipers are single piston where the b5's are dual piston.
I really want to upgrade my brakes with the best possible option using parts from other Audi models. I am not really worried about the cost difference, just want the best performance.

I'm interested in some answers about this topic too, and if I can supplement instead of hijack, how necissary are wheel spacers in the B5S4 brake upgrade? I saw somewhere that they were, but it concerns me because my winter set of rims are 16" and I don't want to have to have a winter brake set as well due to fitment issues.
Merry Christmas!

Even with B5S4 equipment?
I agree if you found out that b5S4 was an inch bigger than the B6A4 just like the B6S4's are, but I thought the B5S4's were the same size as the B6A4's and just had a dual piston caliper. Is that right?

My understanding has always been that the B5 S4 brakes would clear the stock B6 16" wheels, but that they may require small spacers to do so.

B5s4's are an inch bigger than b6a4's, but b6s4's are an inch bigger than the b5s4's. They all look like they would bolt up, but I do not know for sure. As for clearance issues with wheels, I have stock 17's and also picked up a set of 18's so I can fit the biggest OE brakes possible.

ok, gotta get my brakes done.... I picked up some pads locally and picked up front and rear ECS OEM BBK kits, seeks to be the safest way at the moment and they will fit with my 17's and look better when I put the 18's on in the spring.

update:
Just was not happy with V6 brakes (312mm rotor, single piston calipers) after running them for a few months. So I purchased B5 S4 calipers from a buddy and a fresh set of pads and rotors (321mm rotor, dual piston caliper).
Everything went good until I mounted the wheel up and it hit the new caliper
I had to pull it all back apart and put the V6 brakes back on. I had to order 15mm spacers (I was already running 10mm spacers) from ECS.
