Ok so I have a 04 1.8t with a KO4 kit, and GIAC tuning. I am pretty sure I have upgraded injectors but unsure how to check. I am having a hard to start or fail to start issue occasionally. Now the CEL is on with a misfire on cylinder 1. So I am thinking I have a coil pack going bad. I was looking around and ECS has upgraded coil packs and was wanting to know if these are a true upgrade or just replacement at a premium price? Are there true upgraded coil packs? Any help you all can give me on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

 

are they the red tops? i think they are just the revised version of the oems(pre recall) the pre recall had issues. the post recall coil plugs are shiny on top. if you want i have a set of oem revised set i can sell for all 4.

 

I have the Audi B6 A4 FWD 1.8T > Engine > ES#7536 Coil Pack Ignition Solution - Stage I - 06A998000 in my car. Ive actually had them on for about 5 years now without any problems. I believe they burn a bit cooler then standard coils but if you are running high level injectors and a tune they should work out for you! u might email ecs and ask to verify .
