Clutch grabbing really late

Default Clutch grabbing really late

guys i just got an 03 a4 and the clutch grabs at the very top as your letting it out..does this mean its almost time for a new clutch? the car and the clutch have about 58000 on them

damn only 58k???
I think audi clutches usually grab pretty high up on the pedal. and the higher it grabs the more worn out it is. mine grabs pretty high up, i think im gonna need a new one in the near future. im at 105K...

damn aight..we werent sure how the clutch was and we told the dealer we were iffy about it and he garaunteed it for a month he said he would pay for it if it burns out

Mexican47 hit it right on the head. Before you jump the gun though, have another B6 driver take it for a spin. Take it to a GTG or something if you don't trust the dealer (I wouldn't), there is one in KOP every Wednesday night at 7pm by the IMAX theater. If you need the job done, I'm local and can get it done loads cheaper than the dealer, clutches are usually not covered under warranty.

Clutches arene't covered by warranty. Dealer will charge 3K when you can get it for less than half that. You clutch is worn if it grabs late but i would run it till it starts to slip before replacing it, but not too long after. 58,000 miles is pretty early.
