hi i'm new to this audi forum and new to audis too
i ve got a 2002 a4 1.8t
today i changed the cambelt and water pump as i thought it needed doing had a mechanic friend of mine help me.
all is fine with the car its running smove drove about 5 miles in it no problems
when i went to drop my mate home car started fine but when he shut the passenger door the engine light came on the dash.
drove the car any way still drove fine no problems but now the engine light is always on have switch car on and off and it comes on straight away.
any one have an idea what it might be??
any help and advice would be greaty

 

You either unplugged something and left it unplugged or you got the timing wrong. Its impossible to know for sure without knowing what the fault is

 

Thanks I've bought a vagcom of eBay gonna see what fault comes up have still been driving the car no problems still
idles smooth and silent drives and pulls away good but light still on
