Guys i had the same problem with my sons 2001 A6 , there is a drain hole under the battery ( you have to remove battery to find it) you MUST clean this drain hole out yearly or more if parked outside under trees. we had same problem no windows, door locks, interior lights or auto door locks working. I pulled unit from under seat ordered a used one on line for $90. My harness was corroded also so i had to cut wires and re splice like 70 wires , it took 4 hours and all of those things STILL did not work so i returned it they sent another unit and i did it again to no avail AHHHHHHH , i then took to my audi mech who spent 2 more hours on it and still does not work.. i gave up and he opens his sunroof manually for air.. i am planning on just running hot wire and switch to window motors to try to get them to at least work. VERY FRUSTRATING problem good thing he is a student and doesnt use car that much daily.

Had the same issue with mine. It affected all lights, radio, climate control, sunroof/windows and alarm. Possibly other systems also. disconnected battery, pulled bolts from seat tilted seat back.. pulled trim and pulled carpet up. Tons of water. Got comfort module from eBay and have not had an issue since. I pull my battery every year and open drain plugs and flush the "mote". I was lucky that just my module was destroyed and nothing else.

comfort module
Well I got mine on ebay for 80.00. If you can't find it for cheap try pick and pull. They have a car finder in their website. It allows you to search your make and model. It will tell you which yard in your area has your car so u can pull potential parts off it.
Alternatively you can try to fix it yourself. Read this: https://www.audiforums.com/forum/audi-tt-7/i-fixed-my-comfort-control-module-you-might-wanna-read-before-you-drop-g-203658/

I believe you have to get one based on your Vin or the numbers on your module. Link below illustrates that they need certain digits off your Vin to get you the right one.

If you don't get an exact match off of eBay call or email ecs tuning and they should match one up for you. Expensive but new. Go to pick n pull website and find out what vehicles they have using their car finder. Their prices are insanely cheap so if it's a mistake just sell it on ebay!!
Btw: I am not promoting any websites just using them as examples
