I also got a squeeze bulb with hose from harbor freight. You can slide it under ur carpet and get the water out. Then just keep putting dry towels in until its all dry. When its dry replace ccm then drop a towel under there permanently. If u get a leak the towel will absorb it.

I pulled out the bolts on the drivers seat tilted the whole thing back and pulled up the carpet.

Got mine for 80.00. I pull my battery out every fall and hose the compartment down. It's a chore but works well. My drivers side firewall plug I could not get back i Just use some rtv sealant or high temp silicone on every entry to your firewall.
Wouldn't I at least need the vagcom to reprogram the key's?

Not for the comfort module. The ecu under the hood deals with the keys. Always remember to pull your battery cable before replacing anything electrical. Don't want to short your car out.

Has nothing to do with the, keys. It has to do with the remote. After u swap just put ur keys in the ignition turn the key and click button on remote.

It's the same procedure for when u replace ur remote battery. The ccm controls remote functions not keys.

I pulled my ccm module out and took pictures of it, I then matched the numbers up to one on ebay. Not sure how exact it has to be but I am guessing audi put that exact box in your car for a reason so I would try to find a match. Wondering why you would need a harness unless yours was damaged. try finding your module on ecstuning.com. I got mine off of ebay for 80.00. It was an exact match so it was plug n play.

Hi, i've had this problem too after a heavy downpour. I found the water was coming in under the plastic trim at the bottom of the windscreen. I've now sealed this with black mastic. Some of the water would go into the battery area and that got filled up. Also the pollen filter is under the left side of the windscreen. Some of the water was going straight into there and into the cab, then flooding the footwell. My battery area was half way up the battery, the passenger (left side to us Brits) footwell was about 4 inches deep in water.

I have a 2003 Audi a4 1.8T. And my comfort control module is not giving anything power so I removed seat. And unplugged the CCM and removed it. It looks new and in great condition. Should I replace ? My vag com will not connect to the ecu with it in or out. Help
