Default cam adjuster seals and gasket

so when i got my recalls done on my car the dealer told me they recommend me dealing with an oil leak at cam adjuster seals and gaskets

is it possible to mess with this doing the timing belt? because i just got my tb done a about 1000 miles ago and i never had this problem before.

any input at all is fantastic, i am not mechanically inclined

Thanks,
Tim

Yes, I realized you had your TB done. My point was these TB kits include a Cam seal and Crank seal. In other words they recommend replacing these seals when you replace the TB. Not sure what is leaking on your car. I would ask if they replaced these parts when they did the TB and if they didn't, why didn't they? They were right there. Now the labor to get back in there is going to be high.

You can take out the cam adjuster seal without even messing with the cams or timing belt. The mechanic knows this and plans on charging you 7+ hours of labor for a 1 hour job. You just need the tool for compressing the tensioner and a 90 degree angle pic for fishing out the seal.

LOL, he won't admit that it can be done without messing with the cams because thats how he makes money. You might be able to talk the labor down on him if you're lucky.

Where is the cam adjuster seal located?
