BT Upgrade GT28RS
http://www.atpturbo.com/Merchant2/me...ory_Code=VVWTK
Been looking into to this for a while now, done a lot of research and now have just a few questions.
1. I saw someone else was planning on running this setup here, and wondering if it was finished yet... https://www.audiforums.com/m_682612/tm.htm
2. The setup looks straight forward... and I know now to go w/ Revo software/injector setup+ FMIC (know of a good black one?) + exhaust (which i've decided to go custom w/ Vibrant mufflers. But should I do 2.5" or 3")
Looking for any additional pointers anyone might have!
Thanks!

RE: BT Upgrade GT28RS
Pass on that setup and get the Eliminator...
Ihave run both setups and the Eliminator is by far better. I have pretty good prices if you are interested. FWIW I make 323AWHP with 327AWTQ on the eliminator setup and you cannot even tell my engine bay is modded.
Here is a link to the hardware and software packages I offer for the B5 and B6 chassis http://shop.dthaus.com/product.sc?ca...p;productId=72
Feel free to call me anytime if you have questions about the setup 916-705-0897

RE: BT Upgrade GT28RS
I see you have bigger brakes already so that should slow you down. Even if you're running a sport stock susp. set up I'd upgrade at least the springs if you're on budget, if not get a CO set. Unless you're planning on running low boost replace your clutch. 300+ whp will blow that baby in a jiffy. If you don't want to go for a 2871r then a 2.5 exhaust will work although 3" will sound a lot better and you'll be ready if you decide to upgrade in the future. DP is included so no need for me to mention.

RE: BT Upgrade GT28RS
i cant agree more how important it is to have the car built for the power you are adding... suspension and brakes are vital along with the intercooler, exhaust and clutch... i have the southbend stage 5 FE clutch disc with SS pressure plate... its very easy to drive once u get used to it... i only have the 1+ and smoked my clutch with it on a launch so like they said, unlesss are running with the boost way down, it wont belong before you are in the clutch market......

RE: BT Upgrade GT28RS
Yup, any BT upgrade before is completely done just starts to snowball into a $8k-10k project. Gotta have big pockets to fund the costs. My advice is to be be BT-ready before actually adding the turbo. Which means: get a BBK, CO's, >Stage 3 clutch, FMIC, 3" exhaust, 440cc injectors amongst other necessities to correctly run a BT. A driver that can't control a 180 chp car is in no way ready to handle 350hp. But a well tuned vehicle will help them stay on all four wheels. And make sure you leave a couple stacks saved for anything that can and will go wrong with the car. Its inevitable to have a mishap after a BT upgrade.
Another thing I can't stress enough with kids these days. Trying to run 300whp with cheap or semi bald tires. Good performance tires are under-rated in the tuning world in a lot of cases. Make sure your tires are up for the punishment they'll endure on the pavement.

First off, Thanks for the replies!
400HPA4- What all do you have done? The Eliminator is the same turbo + the tuning and injectors, &- the intake setup and dp? PM a price, i might be interested.
Suspension, FMIC, Exhaust, & Clutch are all in the works now. And, will def be done before upgrading the turbo. Software and injectors I'm going to do at the same time as turbo.
The tires are brand new, and will make sure are still good by the time I do this. Hopefully, this will all get finished this summer... just need to find the man-hours to do it.
Anything >Stage 3 clutch would hold up? ... any recommendations on clutches?
And the exhaust is should be on by the end of next month, 3" with Vibrant Mufflers.

Yes, we do offer the ER Competition and Sport series in both mirror polish and black anodized finish.
To answer what I have done to my car I have a 100% stock block (AMB) with the ATP 71R Eliminator bolt on kit. I use the ATP upgraded exhaust manifold with a Eurocode test pipe (any test pipe will do, VMR makes a cool one that looks exactly like a catalytic converter).
The the intake side consists of a Neuspeed extreme TIP with a stock airbox (K&N drop in air filter). I run a Forge 004 BOV and a custom intercooler I made (to be replaced with a ER Competition in Black Anodized finish).
My programming is REVO witrh Bosch 440cc Green Top injectors that have beem flow balanced and matched by RC Engineering. I also run a Turbsmart EBC.
Every time the car has ever been on the dyno, it has never made less than 309AWHP. I have dyno'd it on 91 pump with a little tolulene and MS109 (105 octane).
My best dyno was 334AWHP with 376AWTQ on a small roller dynojet, the dyno I am most propd of is 323AWHP and 327AWTQ on a Mustang dyno.
To put the power down on the track you will need at lease a stage 3 clutch, preferably stage 4, the Southbend FE SS works great.
Like I said before, my cellphone is always on if you have questions (916-705-0897) and I do sell everything needed to duplicate the results my car has put down.
