Default Bose Question

Is there an amp with the Bose sound system in a 2002?

If so,
Where is it located?
How many watts is it?
How can I tell if it is working or not?

Thanks

Do you have a problem with your system?

No at least I dont think so.
There is an aftermarket pioneer head unit in there and I was wondering general info about the bose system and how to tell if everything is hooked up properly and working.

You can look into the compatability on www.avic411.com for any Pioneer questionor option. Good Luck.

Thanks for the help.

Ok I do have a problem.
Whenever I power on/off or change the channel, all the speakers pop twice (like a loose connection).
Now, I just realized it happens whenever you use something that is powered...like the seats, windows, etc.

What is the problem?

Ground. Check the battery first then move to the amplifier itself. Do you have any other electronics failing/acting weird?

I don't know if it is the battery as everything works fine.
Where is the ground leading from the amp?
Could it also be the head unit ground? I have no idea where that one is.

Popping noises are caused by power, usually the ground. I don't have my car with me so I don't know how to tell you exactly where the wires are. The other forum where you posted is more for electronic geeks, this one is helps a lot with the engie and mechanics.

where is ur amp mounted. go to your amp follow the ground wire and theres ur ground for the amp. Also check where they tapped into ur fuse box for ur stereo to make sure ur wire is not touching any metal. Just follow all ur wires and make sure there are none exposed to the elements.
