I keep getting a "p0440" code which is an evap something or other... and by keep getting it i mean it comes on within about 10 minutes of me clearing it which sometimes i do 6 or 7 times in a row... i know my gas cap is tight, and my average mpg is about 17 (03 a4 3.0 quattro) which seems a little low... any ideas if these are related and where to look to get this to stop popping up???

 

That's usually a small leak somewhere. I never tackled it further than the gascap.
