B6 with OEM wing spoiler?
#12
I took a look at it while it was in the shop and it looks like it does hava brak light hidden in the bottom of the window. I guess it is aftermarket... The job is clean, but I have always wondered about that spoiler. Any way I could have it removed and a lip installed? I suppose I would have to fill the holes. This car is a pain in the ***!
You can always remove a spoiler to install a new one. It just depends on how that one is installed that determines how much work it would be. Most lip spoilers are just stick-ons, so you may have to watch out if yu have holes in your trunk to hold that spoiler in place. you would also have to redo the wiring to the factory 3rd brake light in the window.

Wing off and lip on...Advice?!
If I keep this car (not selling it in the next couple of weeks) I am going to have the wing spoiler removed and have a lip spoiler put on. I have a body guy that can do it. He can fill the holes and repaint it. My question is have any of you ever bought a lip spoiler from eSpoiler inc before? They are on ebay. It says oem, but not sure really if it is. I could have it painted the same time as the trunk lid and it would cost any more. It looks identical to the stock spoiler and says OEM. For a 2002 should I be that picky? Its $100 or so painted compared to the $350 from the dealer....Its $70 shipped if its just primer color... Any feedback on this???
