I got two of the letters yesterady for both of the A4s we have. Reading the letter it seems like they are adding to the preventive Maintenance to inspect and clean the drains. I did have a 97 Civic that this happened to and man it made a mess of the car. It sucked every time it rained to get a full floorboard of water and then the stench as it dried out.
