Default Audi A4 mysterious power steering leak. Help!

Okay, so I've searched all that has similar problems here. Just this past winter, I have had a power steering leak on from my steering rack, front driver's side. Took it to the local Audi mechanics and they said it was a back rack and needs to be replaced. I was still contemplating replacing the rack but now that the weather is getting warmer in Michigan, the leak has magically disappeared.

Before the warmer weather, I would find a puddle of CHF's on the ground after work everyday. Now, I don't see any. Anyone know why? Or should I replace my rack? Or is it okay to live on with this problem?

BTW, I have and Audi A4 B6, 1.8t, 8E Late VIN

You're probably out of fluid, or the weather makes a difference most times.

Yes the racks go bad often so is a normal thing on our cars, about 600 bucks.
