Anyone installed Aerocatch hood latches??
Searched, can't really find anyone thats done it, just a few random pics. Ravi a4 has them on a b6.
Was wondering if anyone had pics under the hood where you mounted them. I really want the latches in a general area that seems too high to attach to but in all the pics I see is bang on?
Any pics or advice would be great. Measure 800 billion times, cut once.

The bolt gets attached onto the radiator support. I have them on my B5 A4 1.8t.
You can always attach the latch bolt first, then use a grease marker on the top of it to mark were it will need to go thru the hood and drill a pilot hole thru that. Then use the template to figure out how you are going to place the latch. Then draw around the template to cut the hood. Make sure to put down some blue tape on the top surface of the hood in that general area of where you plan on putting the latches.
Here you can see the hood pins on my car, these are with my old pins before I switched to the AeroCatch.

Did some rough markups, really want them a bit higher, OCD is going crazy.
Did you install yours on a CF hood? I was planning to install mine on the STOCK hood. The factory latch feels like its going to break every time. Plus I'm sick and tired of shops opening the hood for alinements or whatever to try and upsell - so I got the locking version.

Yes I have had mine on 2 different CF hoods and just switched mine to the locking version not long ago since my car doesn't have the stock latch and the car sits on a trailer when I go to race events.
What do you mean you want to put them higher? If you mean further up that is not possible, you can move then more toward the middle but seeing you have the stock latch it is better to put them more toward the fenders.
Here is where mine is mounted.

From your pictures I was hoping to put them up maybe 2 inchs and almost to the crease in hood.
Thought I read somewhere they needed to be mounted a certain way or the warranty was void because wind could pop them open??? seems pretty unrealistic sub 200mph + locking version.
