alignment question
Guys,
I was doing tire rotation myself today and found out all inside of my tires have been worn out. Two of them have been worn so bad which literally destroyed. I think it most likely caused by too much negative camber.
I am going to get new tires tomorrow but need alignment badly. Do I have to get alignment from dealer or Sears will be fine. Dearler wants $170 + tax but Sears only charges $70.
If you know any other place in central Jersey area does good job on alignment, please let me know. Please no PepBoys... this mess was started by them.
Thanks.

Usually it's the rear toe that's off and causes the inside of the tires to scrub off more than a camber problem. I may be biased, being an Audi tech but, it's probably worth the extra $$$ to get the alignment at the Audi dealer. Too many times we've got cars in with tire problems, uneven wear, chopped tires, etc and the last alignment was done at Sears or Joe's Garage. You have to weigh the cost of new tires to the extra $100 for the dealer. Of course, dealer price also includes to do basic settings on the steering angle sensor, etc after changing the alignment settings where Sears does not.
