A4 startup issues
The car wont consistently start up on the first turn. It will take 2-3 turn to actually start up normally. Ive heard it could be a fuel issue, so Ive replaced the fuel filter about 6 months ago and it still happens. any Ideas. Thanks

I have a 2003 A4.0 MT6 that started doing this intermittently after the TB when replaced back in March. It may go weeks before it happens, and then can happen several times in one day. My indie shop guessed it was related to the immobilizer and I have replaced the batteries in the key fobs and re-programmed them. That seems to help...for a while. Please post any solution you find.

Same/Similar - Always starts - but on the 3rd Try
Let's keep this thread alive - I'll be bringing mine in - AGAIN. Some suspicion is the immobilizer circuitry in the cluster. Had the circuitry in the steering shaft replaced a couple years ago when had start issues - however this seems a bit different. 1. Why does it ALWAYS start? 2. Why on the third try? Seems like a computer issue - something that takes time to sort itself out. Or a relay that needs certain amount of charge (3rd try). Or a vacuum or fuel issue - that gets it right on the 3rd try. Because it is extremely predictable - I'm thinking computer (ASIC or other chip).
