Default 2005 1.8t. Lets figure this one out.

2005 A4 1.8T quattro. No mods. 110k miles

During the first start in the morning it will badly misfire and shake/tick, flash a CEL for about 20 seconds. Idle around 1400 rpm, then it will find itself and idle smooth and drop to 800rpms. No more shaking after that. Put it in drive and it feels like there is zero bottom end power. I could smash the throttle it will go no where, I have to slowly ease up the rpm to get anywhere. I can get up to highway speed but its very laggy. Had it scanned and got P300, P302,P301,P303,P304, P0171. Changed out the cam sensor recently and did a water pump and timing job for a overheating problem.

Since this was my daily driver I really couldnt troubleshoot it myself. I took it 2 a few different places. Changed out several hoses and the coil packs. No luck. I even took it to audi and they charged me $1000 to change out several hoses and clamps. 50 miles later the cel came back. I will be changing the coil pack harness, coil packs (again) sparkplugs and the fuel filter just for troubleshooting. Now this is a spare car so I can take my time. I need some input on this problem before I throw parts at it.

I dont trust the service department at the audi dealership. They seem way too shady.

have u had your car scanned since they worked on it. If not i would take it to a autozone and have them scan it and see what comes back.

Better yet, invest in your own scanner. I know that the scanner that my dad got definately paid itself off many times over. I usually get a orange light whenever it is damp or raining out, but when we plug in the sensor, we find out that nothing is wrong and the light has gone out. Definately helped as we would have taken it to an auto parts store and been charged I don't know how much to only find that nothing was wrong. I don't know if you already have one or not, but definately think about it for the future. Sorry I didn't really help with your problem.
