Plain and simple Audi sucks. AOA will do nothing for me, it's a 4000.00 repair and the warranty just ran out. To top it off they don't know when the car will be fixed because they need to order a cylinder from Germany. AND MY FAVORITE PART. THE DEALERSHIP WILL NOT GIVE ME A LOANER. Going back to Infiniti.

Sorry to hear that, but did they tell you what caused that?

Sorry to hear that, I would be curious to know what caused it as well.

They haven't given me much information. Coolant was leaking into the number 3 cylinder which inturn caused the cylinder to crack? My last two cars were Maximas then I bought a G35x. I live in Maine so one night a friend of mine let me try his audi in the snow I was amazed. I had to have one. Unfortunately this has put a very bad taste in my mouth and I will be selling the car in the next few months. The money isn't what bothers me, it is the complete and total lack of customer service.

You need to get more info, sometimes dealers disinform customers what really happened cause then they would have to repair that. If it is a common problem they will have to fix that, get more info.

sorry to hear your misfortune, unfortunately the 3.0 was one of the worst engines audi has ever made, it was only it production for a few years... many people with 1.8t's are trouble free for many many miles (me being one of them)

So this is what I was told today. Coolant was leaking into the cylinders which in turn cracked a cylinder head. What I can't get over is that this is nothing that I did and the car only has 50k on it. They need to have a cylinder made in germany as there are none available in the US. They still can't give me any sort of a timeline on when I will see the car and the dealership is still refusing a loaner. At this point I have rented a car on my own and I just can't begin to describe how sick I am of hearing sorry for your misfortune but this isn't typical of our cars. It's to bad that the lack of service and accountability is the reason that I will never again buy an Audi. I love the car but the company behind the name is a joke.

i agree, my audi dealer is also ****, i would never buy one unless i could do most of the work myself or had a reputable/reasonable german auto tech nearby

this could easily happen with any manufacturer not just audi... if my samsung lcd died a week after my warrranty im sure they wouldnt cover it (although i would be pretty pissed as im sure you are)

you could also look at it in the sense that no other car has the 50k warranty they are all 36k

did u post on audizine about finding an engine? i wouldnt have the dealer do it, you might can ask around in the regional forums and find a good local german shop
