2004 A4 1.8T 59K miles-Extended Warranty Question
The Audi dealer in the area has an after market extended warranty with zero deductible and 4Year/48K miles for $3145+Tax.
Could some one tell me if it's worth it?
The dealer says its same as factory warranty.
I intend to keep this car for another 4 years for sure.

I bought a 2003 A8L with 67K miles and the original owner had purchased an extended warranty 10 year 100k for $3900 that was transferable for a $50 fee. It was a Warrentech/Repair Master preminum full coverage warrenty covering everything bumper to bumper with $100 deductable per visit for repair. It was great, I had over $8000 in dealer repairs that were covered to the 100k mark. Read the fine print, some warranties have exclusions in the policy such as electrical, audio and some parts are excluded. The only downside is that when you need a repair it takes forever to get the work done as most of these warranties have an adjuster look over the repairs before they ok the work. But when you take the car to an Audi Dealer you normally get a free loaner. My policy also had roadside assist included and free loaner if you went to a dealer that did not include this.

bshannon1-Thanks for your response.
This extended warranty is from NWC-National warranty corp. 4 year /48K puts me out to 10years/107 K. $0(Zero) Deductible. I will post the exclusions later in the day .
Please let me know after seeing the exclusions if it does/does not make sense to buy this or rather have that money handy when there is a need for out-of-pocket repairs

Would be glade to look at the exclusions. The only things not covered by my warranty were the rear window elect. auto shade and an amplifier all electrical components that were excluded. The work that I had covered were both front CV boots leaking grease, thermostat that was super expensive, all 4 electric head rests motors, oil pan leak, temp sensor bad. It was about $7500 in dealer repairs including tow in's which would equal to $3500-$4000 in a good non-dealer repair shop? I found a great local Audi repair shop and just had the 100k timing belt service, tentsioner pullys, water pump and all front oil seals done for $1560. The dealer wanted over $3500 for the same repairs and I think this shop does better work. So maybe with the A4 and less electrical components in the car you may be ok without but it sure is nice to know you fixed costs.

I'm sure you've got your extended warranty taken care of, but for any other interested parties, I've bought mine from Continental Warranty for my last 3 vehicles. '02 A4 Quattro, 1.8T, 48 month/48K for $2398. Not many exclusions, they even covered the turbo. Pretty easy to deal with and will give you a 1 year interest free payment plan. Just my 2 cents worth. Good experience, I'll stick with them.
