2003 A4 Stalling related to Key?
Anybody ever heard/ran into an odd situation I'm having.
I have a 2003 A4 Quattro that started showing some weird electrical issues lately. The following are examples:
-Windows would always work with one-touch
-Seat lumbar support wouldn't always work
-Took several tries to get the engine to start. Sometimes 2-4 tries.
Took it into a NTB because I thought I was having battery issues. They found none and did a draw test which showed something was pulling way too much current but they couldn't pinpoint it. Suggested I take it back to Audi.
The weird part is, after I made an appt with the dealership they asked me to bring in all keys. I've used the same key for 5 years and kept the second in a safe place. My original was wearing a bit so decided to start using the second one.
I have had ZERO issues since using the new key. It's unbelievable. Tried using the old key and the issues start up again. Could something in the old key be causing all this? Anybody ever seen this before? Thanks in advance!

Odd, doesn't make sense to me but who knows. Change the battery in your remote. Each key has a uniqueimmobilizer chip and the car identifies which key is being used, it then sets some things according to which key (driver) is being used.
