Default The "Unknown" buttons...

What's up. Just picked up a '03 A4 1.8T and was looking over the car a little closer and noticed three little buttons in the door panel slot. One looks like a car is going up hill, 2nd one is blank or the marking has rubbed off and the third one is the trunk release. Just curious what the top 2 buttons are for.

Also what does the "wrench" button on the gauge cluster do?

When cycling through the dash gauge displayed information, it looks like it is showing 2 different mpg ratings. One has a circle with a line thru it next to the mpg number. Is there a way to reset these numbers and what are the differences between the 2?

Sorry I know some of these are dumb general questions but my car did not come with a service manual. I am currently looking into ordering one ASAP tho... Thank you...

the blank one is blank, the one with the car on a hill disables the tilt alarm sensors

the wrench basically runs a diag check on different sensors. Like when you start the car ... checks battery, bulbs etc and bitches if any of them are low dead or not working

One of the MPG's resets with each trip, the other is an overall average that doesnt reset until you manually do it.

I'm a Uni sponsored car. It's a 100% custom tune for my setup which includes bigger injectors.

The tune is fantastic and the guys are great. I had APR and GIAC FX and Revo. None of which perform as smoothly as the uni tune. Bacon Bait drove my car with all but the revo tune in so if you want an impartial opinion, there it is.

The uni tune is smooth as silk and pulls throughout the entire power band. In all honesty you barely feel the k03 kick, its smooth as if you were driving a non turboed bigger engine.

Ok thanks I will try the alarm hill mode and see what that does :/ When I lock the car with the "Alarm" on, I can not seem to set it off. Just curious how sensitive it was but had no luck...

jack your car up with your car locked and the alarm goes off, or if your cars on a flatbed and locked it stops the alarm going off etc

The second one which has been rubbed blank should be the switch to disable the motion sensor for the alarm

Ok so the second one that is blank is for the motion. So if the light on the switch is on, then it's disabled?
