Roger that. I do agree. The stock bulbs tha came in my Bora headlights ran pretty damn hot, and the 6000Ks were way hotter. take that into consideration. Before I got the Boras I just used Sylvania Silverstars and they were plenty bright.

Ok, my latest venture into a cosmetic upgrade is headlights. Being the large fan I am of the black accents on silver paint, my plans are for darker tint, tinted taillights (which will probably be done within the next week or two) and my latest research: black headlights.

I found these via google. The price is right, they look pretty stylin', the product info claims a perfect fit installation on 96-99 A4's with no bumper modification required so my question for my fellow Audi enthusiasts, are these worth it?
I paid 150 for mine, they are the same one's. Found em on eBay. Don't pay 2 hundo for em. They aren't worth it. The projections are good, but they fog up like mad crazy, due to a small hole that was on the top of both sides. Get some Depos.

I have yellow high beams, I can see ALOT further than a stock 4300k

What bulbs do you use? Or do you have a HID kit for the high beams

I have 8000k HIDs for low beams and 3000k (yellow) halogen high beams, it definitely is the best of both worlds.

Best of both worlds indeed. Though I probably wouldnt go as hot as 8000k for the lows, I'm pretty stoked to hear you can put both temperatures in

I'm definitely going to go for the depos, saw some pix of sineo's car with the black depos before it got the one piece ecodes it has now and I loved what I saw and since the depos are cheaper on ebay by a good 60 bucks, its a win win no contest. Now I just need the cash, the HID kits and some time...

If you're still considering the halos just so you know they're like $140-$150 shipped on ebay and they do definitely give out a brighter light than the stock headlights. The light output from the bulbs that came with mine is pretty white with a slight blue tint on the outside.

I was in the same boat about a month ago, almost same question.

https://www.audiforums.com/m_894888/.../tm.htm#894888

This was my thread asking the same question. DO WHAT SINEO SAYS! I bought two-piece depo projectors that support HID off of ebay, and then got VVME.com 6000k H7 HID and I haven't looked back. I was at first bummed about losing my stock fogs in the headlights, I even picked up a set of used facelift fogs. But if you aim the new projectors properly, you won't even need them, so I'm going to repair the fogs and sell them. I am extremely pleased with the light output, and it's almost perfect white, slight hint of blue. They are so very sexy, you will love yourself for doing this. And as far as wether or not to have halo's, dont listen to anyone other than your intuition. I almost bought some halos, but I'm happy with the look I have now, and I find that halos would have been overkill.

just my $.02
