lol... i jsut find certain things more annoying than others lol... like why someone would sell a fwd model with a winter package in cali... obviously if they got the winter package then they plan on seeing snow... and if u plan on seeing snow give them quattro.. i mean its not like its oh ok.. well its not that bad cuz it snows all the time.. like get this winter thing jsut in case... no.. it never snows here so they ordered the winter for a reason... its stupid

Well, winter package is more than just an extended ski sack in the trunk.

It also comes with heated accessories (seats, mirrors). You are correct though, it never snowed in CA so it's pretty pointless to have heated anything.

Maybe the car was originally sold in Colorado, and the previous owner took out the quattro and changed it to FWD and sold it to a guy who moved to Cali, who then sold it to you?

Maybe aliens...?

My silver audi, which is FWD, and does not have the winter package (heated seats, mirros etc..) still has a ski bag. Maybe they came stock on all b5's?

LOL

I can understand your frustration, but if its the worst thing that happens to you this week, I'd say it was a pretty good week. I've never seen a B5 WITHOUT a ski sack, so i think you might be right ^

you said sack........huh huh huh

couldn't pass it up.

I have an interesting theory which may be the reason Audi put the ski sack in all 96 a4's. I know mine came from Ingolstadt which we all know is located in Bavaria. Which is snow country in Germany. Hence everyone gets a ski sack whether they wanted one or not. I'm pretty sure all BMW (which are from the same region all have the "sack" as well)
