This guy is not lying.. Even though I don't have a gauge in yet, I too feel no significant change after the SpeedTuning chip.

 

i really just dont think its the chip though. like i said, my car was doing this before it was chipped through speedtuning. it has to be something else. i also have a forge 007 with a yellow spring in with no spacers. i am running ngk plugs, regapped after i got it chipped, and its the same. i have done several throttle body alignments and it did nothing. its just weird. today i had 18 psi all day long, no spikes, nothing. boosted and held 18 psi all day. but sometimes it doesnt do that. sometimes it only holds 8. i think i'm going to get a MBC and see if that helps at all. cause if i have a mbc set at 18, it should run 18 no matter what. if that works, then i will agree that it is something to do with the speedtuning programming.

 

I wouldn't run the MBC at 18 psi w/o the speedtuning flash though. The ecu flash allows more fuel (changes fuel map) to allow the air/fuel mixture to be correct at higher psi boost. Otherwise you'd run lean. With that 2000, you have a map sensor, so you can do the diode mod.

 

well yeah, ialready have the speedtuning flash done anyways so i'm not going to get it flashed back to stock, that would be dumb. this whole thing just doesnt make any sense to me. i have to be missing something. there has to be something somewhere that is causing it to switch back and forth from stockboost to chipped boost. i'm annoyed.

if you were chipped, even with problems you would see an improvement of boost above 8lb.

yeah it looks like im just gunna save up and buy a chip tuned locally and just cut my losses of the $200. this guy is not willing to reflash for free and there is nothing wrong with my car, i even had the powersteering fixed(which feels better then when i got the car!!), so there are virtually no problems with my car. since i was stupid and sent my ECU out i cant just bring it to the shop when i have a problem like this, which is why im just getting a new chip. so for everyone thinkin of speedtuning, think really hard if you wanna have to deal with this just to save a few bucks.

 

dont give up, call oliver and call him out on it, give him a piece of your mind and if not, I will call him and tell him what i think. pm me his # if he doesn't do anything for you, that is just sh*t!

 

the chip is supposed to come with a 1 year warranty. i dont see why they wouldnt honor that warranty by not reflashing it for free.

 

really...well he didnt send any paperwork that said it had a warrenty so hes probably not gunna honor it anyway. its not that i wanna just give up and lose $200 but im gunna b upgrading a lot in the spring and summer, so im gunna need a few reflashes and things like that so its better to just have a chip i can have tuned locally. if its gunna be a big deal every time i gotta deal with this guy id just rather move to someone else.
