Default Wrong Coolant

Hello all... I could be wrong but let me ask. I just picked up an A4 98 I was checking the fluids and noticed the coolant was low... correct me if i m wrong but the q12 should be used and is red in color.... what s in there now is blue coolant... So until I can flush which would you add q12 or additional blue coolant.

DO NOT MIX COOLANTS!!!! If it's warm enough where you live just add distilled water until you get it flushed.. I would get it flushed ASAP and put the G12 in there. (Should be Pink)

+1. Coolant (aka anti-freeze) is to keep the water from freezing in cold temps. If it's not gonna freeze then you have nothing to worry about by adding water. And do a complete flush when you get a chance and fill it up with G12.

ive never heard of a blue coolant. do not mix coolants! i did an experiment on this and it is not good. if you mix coolant A and coolant B, the performance of the mixture is worse then either A or B separately. if you need to top it off for now, put some distilled water in there as suggested.

Old VW and Porsche 944's used blue coolant. That stuff hasn't been used in years. Flush it out and get the pink stuff.
