Default Wiring kit question.

I'm installing my HID wiring conversion and my stock wires have two that are yellow and white. On the conversion wires it says tan and white and yellow and white. Does it matter which ones I connect with the stock wires both being yellow and white?

Yes. There won't be two wires that serve the same purpose, that doesn't make sense. Do you have a voltmeter? Using that, you can test the wires to see which is which.

Edit: One was probably tan at one time in it's life, but 13 years in your engine bay will do that.

They were the exact same color. I don't have a meter. Do you know what would happen if I did it trial by error?

Well I accidentally swapped two wires when i did mine, so when i turned on my headlights, the passenger's side high beam would come on lol. not a big deal, you'll get it eventually one way or another.
