Wiring Gurus Needed: Replacment Coil Harness Retro fit for AWM
I'm part way through replacing my cracked burnt coil harness. I bought the replacement coil harness from here (Coil Pack Wiring Harness Replacement, Mk4 Golf/Jetta 1.8T [ 1J0971658L ] - UroTuning.com - Parts for VW Audi Porsche BMW)
Trying to just use the coil part of this and splice it in. So far I've got the cracked one separated out so I can see where each wire leads.
The problem is the original harness has 12 wires going out and the replacement combines what I'm thinking are the common grounds (not the valve cover grounds) together so it only has 10 wires going out.
Should I separate the ground on the replacement harness or combine them like they are on the replacement???
Also my soldering iron is broken, so I wanted to know if will I be creating problems by using crimp connections???
Thanks!
