Winter without a skidplate...?
#11
I am lowered, in Binghamton. This will be my first winter with the Audi lowered, but the last few have been no problem. We got some snow two nights ago and even so my car was fine. In Saratoga, you get more snow than we do (you're in that Great Lakes snow belt across the state) so you may have something to think about. You'll probably be fine as long as you don't try and bulldoze over chunks from the plows, but there may be times when you blaze the trail on an unplowed road. I'm in favor of some sort of plate to keep the snow from jamming into your belt assembly. I have an OEM belly pan on my car so I'm not worried but without one, I'd be looking to do something about it.
